Costa Rica foods are “hearty, savory and always satisfying” in the author's opinion. The spices on the food, and the dish varies from meats, fruits, vegetables, seafood, and cheese. Because Costa Rica is near the equator, it's easier for crops and plants to grow such as rice, beans, fruits and vegetables. The meats are always apart of their meals because they fear the lack of proteins. It is part of their (Costa Rica) culture and is very popular to have many dishes with seafood such as Mahi-Mahi, sea bass, tilapia, and etc because they live in between the Pacific and Atlantic Coast.
My opinion on this article is that their foods seem more exotic than our foods. They also include rice and beans as a side dish in every meal and people in the US sometimes dont really think about carbs and protiens.
